🔥 League Overview
The UBC Virtual League is a structured NBA 2K simulation league designed to replicate a professional basketball environment.
This league is built for players who value:
-Realistic gameplay

-Fixed scheduling

-All games are played online through NBA 2K under a controlled league system.

-2 Conferences (6 teams each)
-14-Game Regular Season
-Top 8 Teams Advance to Playoffs
🏆 Playoff Format
-Top 4 teams from each conference qualify
-First Round: Best-of-3 Series
-Conference Finals: Best-of-3 Series
-Championship Series: Best-of-5
📅 Official League Schedule
All games are played on a fixed weekly schedule.
Each team will play 2 games per week.

🔒 Scheduling Rules
-All games are pre-scheduled by the league
-No random matchmaking or rescheduling
-Players must be available during assigned times

The UBC Virtual League enforces a simulation-style gameplay standard.

🧍Player Requirements
All players must:
-Use a realistic MyPLAYER name (First & Last Name)
-Maintain a consistent build and position
-Communicate with opponents
-Be available during league schedule
🚫 Name Policy
Allowed:
-Realistic names (e.g., Marcus Hill, Jaylen Carter)
Not Allowed:
-Gamertags or usernames
-Joke or unrealistic names
-Offensive or inappropriate names
🧱 Team Structure & Management
Each team is led by a Team Manager, responsible for organization, communication, and league compliance.

Each team must designate one individual responsible for:
-Submitting game recordings
-Submitting stats
-Ensuring team compliance with league rules
📈 Stat Submission Requirement
After each game, both teams must submit stats.
📸 Required Submission:

-Must clearly show score and player stats

📹 Recording Requirement
-Both teams must record every game.
-Each team must have one designated recorder per game.
🎯 Designated Recorder Requirements
The designated recorder must:
-Record the full game
-Use 2K Broadcast / Broadcast Zoom camera (side view)
-Maintain clean visual settings
🎥Highlight Submission Requirement
Each team must include:
-2-3 highlight timestamps from the game
-Brief description of each play
(Example: 12:45 - Fast break dunk, 18:10 - Deep 3-Pointer (Clutch), Game winning shot)
🎮 Visual Settings (Recorder Only)
-Shot Meter: OFF (recommended)
-Broadcast camera required
-Minimal on-screen distractions
👥 Other Players
-May use preferred camera/settings
-Only recorder must follow broadcast rules
📤 Official Submission Process
Each team must:
-Record the game
-Upload to YouTube (UNLISTED) with highlight timestamp description
-Submit link in Discord

-Each week, selected matchups and highlights are featured through UBC's official content channels.
-Weekly Broadcasts will include 2 Games of the Week (One on Wednesday and One on Saturday)
-Top 5 Plays will be posted on the UBC website and content channels, along with the Player of the Week by Sunday of each week.
*As the UBC Virtual League grows, there will be an ESPN-style Network and show that will feature games, highlights, and league news.
🧪 Combine Structure
📋 Combine Overview
The UBC Combine is the official evaluation process for league entry.
🎯 Process:
-Players apply through Priority List
-Selected players receive official invite
-Players register and secure spot
-Participate in scheduled gameplay session
⚠️ Important:
Participation does not guarantee team placement
💰 League Entry & Commitment
-Players selected must:
-Complete registration
-Pay $50 entry fee
-Confirm availability
Reserve Player Pool
-Due to limited roster spots, not all players selected through the UBC Combine will be placed on an active team immediately.
-Players who complete registration and are not assigned to a roster will be in the UBC Reserve Player Pool
Reserve Player Role
Reserve players are considered active members of the league and must remain ready for participation.
Reserve players may be:
-Assigned to a team at any point during the season
-Used as replacements for inactive players
-Called upon to fill in for missed games or scheduling conflicts
-Selected for expansion teams if added

Player Contracts & Future Seasons
The UBC Virtual League is designed to operate beyond a single season, offering players long-terms opportunities within a structured league system.
End of Season Options
At the end of each season, players will have the option to:
-Re-sign with their current team
-Re-enter the Combine for re-evaluation and team placement
Multi-Season Contracts
Players may choose to sign a multi-season agreement with their current team.
Contract Structure:
-$50 per season
-Option to commit to multiple seasons in advance if agreed by team manager (Example: 2 Season Contract - $100, 4 Season Contract - $200, etc.)
Contract Commitment
Players who sign a multi-season agreement:
-Are committed to their assigned team for the duration of the contract
-Will remain on that team unless approved for trade or league action
-Are expected to maintain availability and participation
Re-Enter Combine Option
Players who choose not to sign a contract may:
-Re-enter the UBC Combine
-Be evaluated again
-Be placed on a new team based on league structure and performance
New Season Combine
Each season will include a new UBC Combine open to:
-New players entering the league
-Returning players seeking reassignment
Trades & Movement
The league may allow:
-Trade requests between teams to be approved by the Commissioner
-Roster adjustments based on league needs
-Movement of players when necessary to maintain balance
